"Moon power make up!!"


Being a Sailor Moon fan, getting hold of the Sailor Moon designed eyeliner is heaven. Honestly, I bought one because of its packaging. I wasn't able to search if it's working good as an eyeliner. 😅

I know it's a bad thing to do specially when you're buying something expensive. But what do I do? It's too cute! ♥


Upon getting hold of the product, of course like any other fan would do, I placed the topper on and imitated Chibimoon when transforming!! Haha

Anyway, moving on to the eyeliner itself. It looks like a felt tip eyeliner but upon looking closely, it was different. The tip is a very fine brush perfect for making fine or thick lines.


When I first used it, only a little amount of the product goes out of the tip. You have to shake it to be able to dispense more product.


The color is very black and I was able to make an extremely fine line. I did the waterproof test and yes, it is waterproof. But it could be erased once you smudge it.

I tried wearing it for a whole day without retouch. It looked good during the morning but around 5pm, the eyeliner already faded. You have to retouch again.

My verdict:

I think this is a good eyeliner. This could be used to make very fine lines and the color payoff is also really good (given that you have to store it standing up - tip should be at the bottom). It is also waterproof and if you accidentally touch it, there won't be any smudges seen. The only thing that happens is the eyeliner fades. You can also remove it easily using a cotton and water.

Would I buy again:

I would love to IF I have money to spare. It's a good eyeliner but it's too expensive (Php 950.00). By the way if you would like to try this eyeliner, you buy this at Skinned PH. ♡

Blackheads are probably the second annoying thing that conquers my face. Those pesky little black dots are trying to make my nose like a human connect the dots. I know I'm not alone in this annoying little struggle. Usually, in order to get rid of them, most people buy nose pore strips sold in drug stores.
Speaking of which, I bought one in 698 Mall in Divisoria. It is called Pil'aten Black Head Pore Strip and is priced at only Php 10.00 per sachet. I've been seeing a lot of this in the internet so I immediately grabbed one. It's cheap anyways.
The packaging is really messy since it's in a sachet without a twist cap. Once you open it, you have to be careful because it spills. The product itself is colored black with an Elmer's glue-like consistency.


According to the instructions, you have to spread it evenly on your nose then let it dry for 30 minutes. Personally, I put a generous amount on my nose because of my past experience with other nose pore strips. Before, I only apply a normal amount on my nose but when it's time to peel it off, it usually breaks. This in turn makes it so hard to clean. Anyway, back to Pilaten. After applying a generous amount, I also waited for a little longer (45 minutes) than the required amount just to be sure that the blackheads are already stuck to the strip.


Once the 45 minute wait is over, I pulled the pore strip in an upward motion starting from the bottom of my nose.


There are tiny little hair-like structures stuck in the pore strip. I don't know if you can see it in the picture. I don't know if those are my blackheads because they're too small and there are also structures that looks like whiteheads. But, the blackheads on my nose are still there. (Sorry!! I forgot to take a picture the before and after of my nose) I think nothing happened. Probably, it only stripped the oils on my nose.

Overall, based on my experience, I don't recommend this nose pore strip. It didn't work in removing my blackheads. But of course, every product reacts differently depending on your skin. So, what doesn't work for me, isn't necessarily the same for you. If you have time, you can try it. Anyway, it's very cheap. ♡

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you goooo ♫ Yes, time flies soooo fast and it's the Christmas season again. During this season, we all give gifts especially during Christmas parties. This is mostly done through exchange gifts to add a little excitement.

Usually, it's hard to think for a good item to buy for an exchange gift. It always comes down to "what unisex item should I buy?". And the ending story is you get a crappy item and put it in a classy box to balance it. That would ruin the Christmas. In order to avoid this, I suggest you buy earphones as a gift. 

Yes, earphones because from my experience, most people love listening to music during their past time. And of course, if you always use your current earphones, there's a 100% chance it's going to give up on you. Who wouldn't want a ready back-up for an item you always use? Also, if the person that gets your gift is not into music, he can use your gift for calls using his mobile phone. Nowadays, it's advisable to use earphones specially during long calls to avoid absorbing too much radiation from phones. Long story short, it's a win-win situation since earphones is a need in this tech generation.

So now the question is: where can you buy an affordable but good quality earphones? Again, I have an answer - Goods.ph! I recently stumbled upon this site and discovered it's much more similar to Lazada but they're cheaper.



When you browse their site, you will see this good looking Awei earphones for only Php 529. I gave it a try. Actually before I tried it, I lowered my expectations a lot. Because the first time I tried Chinese earphones, it was horrible (sorry!!). I don't remember the brand. All I remembered was I bought it from Divisoria.



Upon trying the earphones, I was quite surprised that it sounds so much better than the one in Divisoria. It didn't irritated my eardrums. I can hear the music with clarity although I think it lacked a little on the bass part. The earphones also came with a mini pouch and ear tips. The pouch looks really cute and handy. It's good for storage in your bag so the cord won't get all tangled up.

I guess that's it. I think this is a good buy given its price. Of course you shouldn't compare it to the high end earphones because of the obvious price difference. But for me, this is already a good buy specially for exchange gifts and besides, this looks good. If you're interested to buy this earphones, you can check it here. ♡

Why don't you give love on Christmas day  ♫ Yes, it's already the season for giving love. Normally, we give love in the form of gifts. And speaking of gifts, I saw  the perfect gift for beauty addicts in Watson's: The Beauty Now & Next Lip Gloss and Lipstick Collection. Sounds expensive? Probably because of the word collection but it's actually cheap. You can buy the set for just Php 249.00.



For those of you who haven't heard of this brand (like me HAHA), Beauty Now and Next is a relatively new cosmetic line under the company Jacky and Lauren, Inc. According to the website Justia, they registered last September 29, 2015. And for those interested, the company is based in New York, USA but their products are made in China.



Anyway, back to their product. The set includes 4 different shades of lip gloss and lipstick namely hot pink, red, nude pink, and vampy red. Their lip gloss are 3ml each tube and the lipsticks are 3.2g each stick. You only get a little product from each shade.



I first tried their lip gloss, specifically the shade nude pink. Upon application, I noticed that their lip gloss is very creamy but not that pigmented. The colors doesn't show that well. But the good thing is their product is moisturizing so you won't have to worry about applying lip balm before this. 



On the other hand, the lip stick is quite different. It is more pigmented than their gloss and you get a matte finish unlike the lip gloss. In my experience, one swipe for the vampy red gave me the perfect natural looking red lips. But the consistency lacks a little creaminess. There's a little tugging (only a little) that takes place and it's not moisturizing (not drying either).

Overall, I guess this a good budget lipstick. It's probably not the best out there but for the price, it"s very good.☺ Personally, I like their lip gloss. I like its feel and pigmentation while the lip sticks are a different story. I'm a little neutral when it comes to their lip sticks. I don't like it and I don't hate it either. I'm having mixed emotions with this one. I like that it's very pigmented and cheap but I hate that it's not moisturizing and it's not that creamy. Anyway, if you're on a budget and you have a friend or relative addicted to make-up, this would be a really good gift to give. ♡

 

I'm a huge skin care addict. And almost all skin care addicts on a budget know that Watson's is a heaven. Personally, I spend a minimum of 30 minutes just roaming around their aisles.


During my "roaming sessions", I noticed this simple looking blue tin with scribbled words "Nivea Creme". I looked at the bottom of the tin to get more details about the product but it was so straight forward that all I got was it is the most sold moisturizer worldwide. This piqued my curiosity.



I read dozens of reviews regarding this product and more than half of them LOVED it. Yes, love was the right term not like. Well, this pushed me to buy this product.

Most people who bought Nivea Creme used it as a facial moisturizer during winter. At that time, I didn't have a facial moisturizer so why not try it.



I was surprised the first time I swiped it on my face. It was thick. The term "a little goes a long way" was really true! It was a little hard to spread and yeah, a little amount was able to accommodate a lot on my face. I also read other reviews that they used it as an eye cream and lip balm. So when I put it at night as face cream, I include the skin around my eyes and my lips.

When I woke up the next day, my face and lips felt soooooo soft! I instantly liked it! So I continued using it and I added some uses such as cracked heel moisturizer, elbow and knee moisturizer, and hair shine.

I was in loved with this product because it was a GREAT all around moisturizer. BUT of course, in this world there is no such thing as too good to be true. After probably a week, I noticed that I kept on having pimples nonstop. At first, I didn't wanted to accept that maybe the Nivea Creme was the culprit specially because some of my friends told me that my face looked glowing. But the pimples were slowly colonizing my face so I decided to stop and observe. Sadly, it was really the fault of Nivea Creme. 😔

Even though it gave me pimples, I still love it. I still use until now. I just stopped using it as a face cream. Anyway, listed below are the different uses of Nivea Creme to give you a summary of how you can maximize it.

USES

Facial Moisturizer. I suggest use this every night before you sleep. This is a heavy moisturizer and in my experience, it made my face looked oily when used during daytime. (By the way, my skin type is oily.)

Eye Cream. Again, use this before bedtime together when you use it as a face moisturizer. According to other bloggers, it can prevent the early appearance of wrinkles. (I can't attest to this since I already stopped using it as a face moisturizer and eye cream. Sorry!)

Lip moisturizer. So far, this is the best of all the lip balms or lip moisturizers I used. Use this every night before you sleep, then you'll wake up to a baby soft lips. AND you'll be having your baby soft lips the WHOLE DAY even when you wear a drying lipstick. BUT I suggest you only put this on your lips at night. Why? Because your stomach will get upset due to accidentally ingesting some of the product.

Hand Cream. Use this to have baby soft hands

Cracked Heels Moisturizer. It does a good job in moisturizing your cracked heels and with continued use, your cracked heels will turn soft 😉

Hair Shine. Sounds crazy? Yeah I admit it does, but it won't hurt if you try it. And I can assure you that you won't regret it. It did a really good job in taming all the crazy frizz on my hair.

So, that's it so far. For my final verdict, this is a REALLY GOOD all around moisturizer. I would suggest you try it too since it wouldn't hurt your wallet if you do. 😊

This is probably a very very late post since the hype of the Menow Kissproof crayon lipstick already died down. But nonetheless, I would still share my thoughts on this.

Menow kissproof is a cheap (Php 60) lipstick manufactured in China which promises their product to be long lasting, pigmented, and moisturizing. Due to this, I got curious and immediately bought one in Shopee. I chose #09 which is a nude pink lip color (a perfect MLBB shade).

The lipstick came in a box with a little peephole so you can see the color of the product (sorry, I already threw the box and I forgot to take a picture it). They also included a leaflet about their other products. The one I bought, looked like a crayon with a cap.




So moving on to the lip swatch! It's a little hard to glide on the lips. There's a little tugging that happened and it feels a little sticky at first. But upon drying, the stickiness was gone and it felt powdery and light weight. It's as though you didn't put anything on your lips. The downside is it enhances creases of your lips. So if you have dry lips, I suggest you put on a lip balm before this. Check the picture below. That was how it looked on my lips.





After 2 hours upon application, the lipstick still looks and feels the same. Well, I kind of slept in the car while travelling so it would really stay the same (unless I was drooling HAHA, but I wasn't so yeah).



After 4.5 hours upon application, the lipstick started to go off. It felt like there were crumbs on my lips. It was really bothering. I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture below.



After 5 hours upon application, some parts were a little faded and more crumbs appeared. This time was also after I ate dinner. As you can see in the picture below, most of the color faded along the inner lip, probably because I ate dinner. (Uh-oh, I probably ate some of the product 😨)



After 8 hours upon application, probably around 50% of the product was gone. Well to be fair, that was after 8 hours. Eight hours without retouch! So definitely, the product would be gone.



When I got home, I tried to do a retouch to check how it would look. Well, it's a good thing I didn't do that earlier. It looked and felt bad. It looked very thick and felt like there were humongous crumbs stuck on your lips as a design. So I guess, retouching for this lipstick is a no-no. You have to take it off completely before put on a new layer.



So for me, I wouldn't buy one of this again. This is probably good for make up tutorials where you get to wear it for only a short time. But if you're looking for an everyday lipstick or an event lipstick, I do not suggest buying this. It looks and feels good at first but once it goes to the crumbs part, it's a nuisance.
